Who we are: The Lane County Psychologists’ Association is a professional membership organization. It is an affiliate of the Oregon Psychological Association and is registered as a public benefit corporation. Our membership consists of licensed psychologists, psychologist associates, psychologist residents, and psychologist associate residents. In addition, our allied members include unlicensed doctoral psychologists functioning as educators, researchers or consultants. Purpose: The purpose of Lane County Psychologists’ Association is as follows: 1. To provide for the continuing education of professional psychologists. 2. To represent the interests of professional psychology within a larger psychological community. 3. To advocate for the enactment and enforcement of legislation and other measures to insure competent psychological services to the public. 4. To promote the highest standards of professional competence and ethics in the delivery of psychological services. 5. To promote working relationships with related disciplines. Meetings: The Lane County Psychologists’ Association meets on the first Wednesday of the month from September through June of each year from 7:15 PM – 9:15 PM at Wayne Morse Ranch, 595 Crest Drive in Eugene (except for our annual November LCPA/OPA Town Hall meeting). Our monthly meetings consist of a continuing education program providing 1.5 CEUs, followed by a short business meeting.
LCPA members have access to: a monthly meeting from September through June where 1.5 hours of continuing education are provided, the monthly LCPA newsletter, the annual September outdoor social and potluck, the annual November OPA-LCPA dinner and meeting, and eligibility to be listed on the LCPA website's "Find a Psychologist" link, a great way for clients to find a psychologist here in Lane County. Members may also post advertisements in the LCPA newsletter.
If you are interested in joining the LCPA, you may simply join us at a monthly meeting and get enrollment information there. You may also contact our current Secretary for information about how to become a member. Or you may click here to download the Membership Information Form.
