who we are:
Founded in 1974, the Lane County Psychologists’ Association today has almost 70 psychologists, psychologist associates, psychologist residents, and other psychology professionals in its membership. It is a group that provides services to its members, the local community, and the state.
These services include monthly meetings for members from September through June. Continuing education is provided, and a brief business meeting is held. These meetings offer the opportunity for informal interaction with local colleagues, which is a great way to learn what’s going on in the community, to seek referrals, to get general support, and to participate in the organization at a local and/or state level. As a chapter of the Oregon Psychological Association since 1998, the LCPA also annually elects a member to serve as a representative to the OPA. The LCPA also recognizes the good works of psychologists, agencies, and governmental officials through awards.
